How it's calculated

Every length, weight and volume unit is a fixed multiple of a base unit (the metre, the gram, the millilitre). Converting is two steps: multiply by the size of the unit you have to get into the base unit, then divide by the size of the unit you want. Temperature is different because the scales do not start at the same zero: Fahrenheit is Celsius × 9⁄5 + 32, and Kelvin is Celsius + 273.15.

Result = Amount × (From unit in base units) ÷ (To unit in base units) °F = °C × 9⁄5 + 32 K = °C + 273.15
Are these US or UK measurements?

US customary for cups, pints, quarts, gallons and fluid ounces. A UK (imperial) pint is 568 ml and a UK gallon 4.546 litres, about 20% larger. Stone is the UK unit for body weight: 14 pounds.

How accurate are the factors?

Exact where a definition exists (an inch is exactly 25.4 mm, a pound exactly 453.59237 g) and to ten significant figures otherwise. Results are rounded to four decimals.

Why is there no Celsius to Fahrenheit factor?

Because the two scales have different zero points, you need to add 32 as well as multiply. The temperature tab handles that for you.
